Hello All,

I was asked to post this per mapturtlemadness's request.

Think your turtle might have a body fungus? Worried it's not a normal shed? Look here for pictures of a body fungus and a simple, inexpensive at home treatment. :)

Can someone please help me? I have a South American Wood turtle, for 7 years now, I had brought her to the vet. for a checkup, she had been eating fine until they put her on bactrim oral antibiotic 3 mls. twice a day for 10 days to treat an e-coli infection, that was 3 weeks ago and she hasn't eaten anything since then. I have been under the assumption that this has stressed her, she is very shy to begin with, and I had to handle her a lot. However I have finished the medication for over a week now and still no eating, the only other change I had made was I removed her water bowl as I believe that was causing the e-coli infection (sitting in it all the time, and pooping and drinking), she has had this infection in they past, but they gave her injectible antibiotics that time. I have since returned her tank to its original state as I felt she was stressed with so much change and that was about a week ago and still not eating. I also had brought her back to the vet 4 days ago and they gave her a vitamin b12 injection, I updated her uva/uvb lights and did a full cleaning of her tank, whick is a 55 gallon tank. Thank you
