how do turtles drink?? and what do they drink??

do i need to put in a separate wee tub of water for him or what?? plz help i am very confused!!

What sort of turtle do you have?If it is a waterturtle then it drinks the water it sits in and that is why it is important to keep it clean.

I keep a water bowl in my boxies enclosure, its true that they will mess it up a lot, but it's so easy to empty and clean thats its no big deal, and that way if they feel thirsty then they can drink clean water. somedays It gets changed like 4 times.[xx(]

always keep water where they can drink if they need to

yeah, he is a water turtle. a yellow bellied slider. also one other thing, he finds it difficult to open his eyes when he wakes up from sleeping. he uses his paw to push his eyelid down. is this normal? thnks
