okay so i am going to meet a lady tomorrow morning for a trio of box turtles which im told are easterns.... BUT by the photos im not so sure, are they florida box turtles or Ornate?
the first definatly looks to be a three toed. the other two appear to be ornates IMO
just need confirmation.

The first one could be a female as I have female three-toeds with that head coloration.  The only way to know for sure is to see the face, throat and tail area.  The other two appear to be female Ornata Ornata from the photos.  I would go get those poor turtles as they are being ill kept.  There is always someone on this forum or on ATP who could gladly take and care for them and probably pay expenses.

unfortunatly she was extremly offended when i explained to her the faults of her husbandry when i was asking for a "deal" as i was going to pay a 200 dollars and a 4 hr drive to get them for them and their quote unquote enclosure... she has yet to return my email or calls....

I don't know how you learned about these boxies or if they were advertised somewhere but get someone else to contact her and try to get them!  People that have animals will get offended if someone with more knowledge downtalks them...even though she was not keeping them well, to her they were being kept fine...sometimes it's best not to say anything, make a decent offer and let the person know if they can't get more for them to contact you.  I've been in situations where I had to severely bite my tongue and not say a word....

im sorry but if you gunna sell something...you deff. want to know as much about it as poss.  and that stuff she was keeping them in looked like ripped up cotton balls or the insides of a pillow...THE F***... i understand that 200 for 3 is a good deal but with the way she was keeping them  its really a bad deal due to the fact that the way the look they need to be seen by a vet ASAP if she wanted 200 for them she should have took proper care of them, housed them correctly, and at least have read a basic care guide or a box from the childrens books at the library  and b4 i would pay her the money i would want them to be seen by a vet b4 i pay a dime ... i could understand if it was a child not knowing how to care for them properly (even though the parent should be helping with that)   but thats just sad ... i hope they got a good loving caring home and everything they need...and i hope she didnt get the full 200 ...not being mean about it....just i feel she doesnt deserve all of it...at least they had some food and "somewhere to live"...now that i looked at the pictures again im willing to bet the spent most of there time on top of those log hide rather than under them...i bet that sub. (if you even call it that) really bothered there eyes   ...i mean really is it really that hard to go in you back yard with a shovel and get some dirt, leaves and twigs for some REAL substrate ... i mean come on lady you atleast had to know turtles live out side in the woods and sleep in dirt..i dont see many turtle condos with all cotton carpet  floors out in the wild
