Hello from Plunket the baby reeves turtle in New Zealand!

Plunket is our first turtle and we decided to be a bit extravagant and get a Reeves turtle. We think it's a boy buy have no idea as it may take a few years to really show it's sex.

Here's a photo of Plunket. He's been feeding really well on a mix of pellets and various thawed frozen insects.

He's about 2 inches long and we're housing him in a 90x48cm tank with about 15cm of water and a couple of dry areas.

We'll get around to posting the full setup and some info about him in the upcoming weeks hopefully!

Hi,
That is a great turtle. I also live in New Zealand and want to get a Reeves turtle (as a first time turtle owner) but cannot find one.
I was just wondering where you got your one from?
